As a recent graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago 2024 with an interest in applying for veterinary school, I am eager to expand my experience in the vet field. Currently, I work as a Level 1 Veterinary Assistant at Veterinary Emergency Group in Oakbrook, where I am working closely with high level nurses on becoming a level 2. Working at VEG has made me realize how interested I am in the what, whys, and hows in vet medicine. I always catch myself wanting to learn more everyday and practice applying the knowledge to patient care. While I am comfortable working with small animals and some exotics, I am particularly interested in gaining more hands-on experience with large animals. This experience will allow me to strengthen my vet school applications.
I am confident that my strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and passion for veterinary care will prepare for any upcoming challenges!
