Instructional Leadership & Curriculum Development

• Part of the district-wide CKLA Amplify pilot team, serving as a subject matter expert to evaluate curriculum efficacy and lead building-level implementation as I join the district implementation team for Fall 2026.
• Contribute to the Collins Instructional Leadership Team (ILT), utilizing student data analysis to drive strategic decision-making and improve school-wide academic outcomes.
• Facilitate "Learning Labs" for the District Math Team and Language Arts, modeling high-leverage instructional strategies and fostering a culture of peer-to-peer professional growth.

Advanced Pedagogy & Classroom Excellence

• Serve as the Identified Gifted Teacher for the grade level (15+ years), creating high-rigor differentiated learning plans for advanced learners.
• Implementing explicit, research-based literacy instruction informed by ongoing LETRS training to accelerate reading and writing proficiency.
• Integrate modern technology and interactive tools (Google Workspace, etc.) into daily ELA and Math blocks to enhance student engagement and project-based learning.
• Foster a joyful, student-centered classroom environment rooted in strong social-emotional learning (SEL) and proactive, relationship-based classroom management.

Mentorship & Collaboration

• Act as a Mentor for student teachers from Michigan State, Grand Valley State, Calvin, Aquinas, and Cornerstone, coaching the next generation of educators in explicit teaching and effective management.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary units with colleagues to create cohesive learning experiences that bridge Language Arts, Math, and Science.
• Maintain open, transparent communication with parents and stakeholders, building the strong home-school partnerships essential for a high-performing district.
