Proven leader in transportation security and emergency management, adept at strategic planning and innovation. At the Transportation Security Administration, enhanced checkpoint efficiency by 30% through effective work coordination and emergency response. Skilled in report writing and investigation management, demonstrating exceptional creativity and problem-solving abilities.
As a Collateral Duty Officer, I’m responsible for supporting activities related to checked luggage screening and security passenger screening. As assigned by the Federal Security Director, I assist in coordinating and monitoring the readiness status and upholding working relationships with other relevant TSA entities, such as Headquarters and other airport stakeholders, to ensure efficient coordination and sharing of pertinent information. In line with airport protocols, I relay information when responding to emergency calls. To make sure the right reporting processes have been followed, I check incident reports for correctness and completeness. I use a variety of government programs to enter data from incident reports. I help first-level supervisors and senior executives with the preparation of briefings and reports on important security incident matters. I adhere to the Transportation Security Operations Center's incident reporting rules in reaction to noteworthy events, making sure that information is sent via email to the proper recipient or recipients. I update all checkpoints' hourly throughput figures and wait durations into national databases. I make sure that internal stakeholders are informed about current events and understand when to bring significant new information to their attention that could need more research or action.
I oversee all checkpoint operations as the lead transportation security officer, which includes identifying, assigning, and distributing workloads and duties among staff members in line with defined procedure and ability level. I modify according to operational necessity in order to complete the workload in line with predetermined priorities. Regarding a range of HR-related issues, I offer managers and supervisors advice and helpful criticism. In compliance with TSA goals and guidelines, I also carry out security screening processes. Along with preparing incident reports and other documents that include the necessary information, I help with checkpoint investigations of occurrences. In order to assist them in becoming certified checkpoint operators, I oversee and report on the training and mentorship of all new Transportation Security Officers. I also maintain my flexibility to react to checkpoint operations at the senior officials' request of the airport.
In my capacity as a Transportation Security Officer, I am trained to use a range of checkpoint screening tools (Smiths Xray, Smiths Computed Tomography (CT), and L3 Advanced Image Technology) to find and stop prohibited items from being brought into the airport's secure area. In addition to doing administrative searches and screening, I also lift and carry bags, bins, and items. I am also in charge of the terminal's entrance and exit. The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center taught me how to use a range of cutting-edge electronic detection and imaging tools to find potentially harmful items in luggage. I'm interacting with people, offering directions and answering questions. In order to preserve my professional ability to recognize and locate potentially hazardous or life-threatening devices, as well as to make effective decisions in routine as well as emergency circumstances, I maintain my focus and awareness while working in a fast-paced environment that includes noise from alarms, machinery, and people, crowd distractions, time constraints, and disruptive and irate passengers. I actively work to continuously improve my critical thinking abilities, which are essential for detecting, assessing, and implementing the best situational solutions and strategies to lessen current and future security risks. Application of risk-based security screening procedures that change according to program requirements may fall under this category.
In order to guarantee a satisfying, amiable, and effective client encounter, I collaborated with leaders, stock, and sales representatives. I recognized clients and helped them; I search merchandise effectively utilizing a variety of techniques; and I deliver prompt, correct responses to concerns. Through effective consumer interaction and Gap Inc. application, I contributed to the prevention of theft and loss. I made use of Outlet loss prevention strategies. I made an effort to complete all operational procedures at the company's productivity standards: Shipment processing, markdowns, merchandise signage, stockroom and sales floor replenishment, and recovery.
I issued boarding cards, rescheduled customers impacted by airline delays or cancellations, and inspected and validated passenger documents in my capacity as a lead passenger service agent. I oversaw the processing of passenger baggage, which included handling and, if necessary, charge computation. During the arrival and check-in procedures, I assisted passengers as needed, providing support for those with special needs such unaccompanied minors (UM), VIPs, and those in need of wheelchair assistance. I led travelers through immigration and customs and made mandatory statements over the public address system. I helped Ramp Service Agents make sure that strollers, wheelchairs, and gate-checked bags (which have passed security) are ready for loading when the plane leaves and are delivered to passengers when it arrives. I am familiar with how various pieces of technology, such as computer keyboards and jet jets, operated carrier specific reservation/ ticketing software.
As the parish secretary's assistant, I oversaw the creation and distribution of office letters and communications as well as the performance of all tasks assigned in compliance with corporate policies. I answered phones, greeted guests, and used call resolution techniques to answer questions and connect calls with the right people. I typed, formatted, and proofread the assignment that I completed. Keep track of important information, schedule events and keep up-to-date schedules; establish and oversee paper or electronic file systems; update documentation and/or maintain records, such as weekly bulletins and records of baptisms, deaths, and confirmations. Open, sort, and route incoming mail; respond to letters; prepare outgoing mail; and operate office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, or phone systems, and make arrangements for repairs when equipment breaks down.
