As a high school reading teacher, I facilitated literacy development, employed diverse instructional strategies to enhance students' reading skills and cultivated a love for literature while fostering critical thinking and analytical abilities. However, after desiring to engage with more comprehensive aspects of language arts, teaching a higher level meant seeking employment at a different school.
Being a Special Olympics coach involves working with athletes who have intellectual disabilities, providing them with opportunities to participate in sports and promoting inclusivity. Coaches focus on developing athletes' skills, fostering teamwork, and ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
