Walking/Running

Walking and/or running helps to de-stress from the day's challenges. Gives time to go through the day and reflect on what could have been done better or differently as well as realizing what was done well. That time alone, pushing yourself, also helps in getting a good nights rest and resets the brain, body and soul for another day to do your best.

Gardening

When hands are in the earth there is grounding. Happiness is helping something grow whether it is from a seedling or a plant. We are all connected with energy and when helping something grow around us, it helps everybody. I realized that when I took up gardening during COVID when I wasn't able to go to school to help and support students. I realized planting seeds in the earth and providing what they need to thrive and grow is similar to helping students in what they need to thrive and grow into the person they would like to be. I've been growing and learning ever since and feel a sense of peace being involved with gardening.
