Summary
I am a middle school mathematics teacher. I am a first generation college students in my family. I have always been interested in perusing a career in education. I enjoy guiding students in the field of math and watching them grow successfully. In my school I was given the opportunity to help teachers understand how to use data from given assessments, so then better there teaching in the classroom. I am a designated principal. I handle behavior in the middle your middle school and get excited when they choose the right path. Lastly, I am responsible for designing testing benchmarks for my county in 8th grade math. In addition, I design lessons and activities for Tennessee teachers in Northeast Tennessee.

- I taught middle school Grades 6th -8th Mathematics, as well as 7th and 8th grade history.
- I was a main leader in First Priority.
- I coached both men’s and women’s middle school basketball teams. I was responsible for the data analysis of the CASE assessment for my school. I instructed teachers on how to be able to read and interrupt their data to better help their classrooms.
- I was responsible for showing teachers how to use Mastery Connect. I was also tasked with show how to read their data on Mastery Connect.
- I was the schools S.T.E.M. coordinator for the school during 2021-2022.
- I was Clinch’s math department head and represented Clinch at all meetings.
- I was selected to design test for all the 7th and 8th grade math teachers to give out to the students in the county.
- I was selected by the Niwsonger Foundation to design classroom lesson plans and activities for Tennessee teachers who teach 8th grade to use. All lesson plans and activities were designed to follow the level 4 rubric. Only the top 5 teachers are invited to participate.
- I was selected by the county to represent all 7th grade math teachers in Hawkins County, in which I meet with other top teachers from other counties in order to discuss pacing for the following year.
- I was also designated principal when the principal was absent.
- I tutored students after school when needed.
- Planned and supervised class projects, field trips and visits by guest speakers.
- Integrated Smartboard and other instructional technologies into classroom.
