To supervise patrons who use the Aquatics facilities and pools.

Surveillance and recognition of distressed or drowning patrons.

To perform in water rescues.

Perform basic first aid and life support in emergency situations.

Enforces rules.

Oversees recreation program functions.

Responsible on-site cash handling procedures.

Monitors the work of part-time staff and volunteers.

Supervises facility patrons.

Monitor pool operations.

Make sure the facility and equipment are clean and in working condition.

Enforce rules for both staff and patrons.

Monitor lifeguard staff and provide feedback to supervisor(s) on staff performance.

Ensure that staff certifications are up to date and schedule them for trainings as necessary.

Assist in scheduling staff, training staff, and teaching training sessions.

Helping interview applicants at job fairs.

Provide input on inventory to supervisor as requested.

Collect data on pool usage and activities.

Provide assistance to patrons who need help or guidance.

Rescue patrons in distress and provide first aid or resuscitation as needed.

Call EMS when needed.

Report accidents and incidents to supervisor(s) and complete required documentation.

Swimming instructions for infants to adults.

Teaching proper swimming techniques.

Teaching water safety skills.

Private lessons.

Teaching appropriate lessons for the level being taught.

Asses the performance level of individual swimmers and help them to achieve personal goals.

Coaching COH swim team(s).

Teaching sportsmanship.
