Summary
Going into my seventh year working within the school as either a district substitute or a paraprofessional in a cross-categorical special education classroom I have been exposed to IEPs, lesson plans, documentation and the needs that students and families come across daily. My Social Work degree benefits me within my position to service the students that I have within my classroom. I am still learning the educational roles and terminology but I enjoy it greatly. Also, I am learning all of the time new services and ways to link our students and their families to help within our community. My main goal is to see any child that I work with succeed to their fullest potential, whatever that may be!

- Worked with one teacher to participate in lesson planning and curriculum implementation, which resulted in faster roll out and delivery of materials.
- Provided personalized and small group assistance to students to help them achieve their learning objectives to support classroom instruction.
- Kept track of behaviors, interventions, and outcomes.
- Assisted teacher with a variety of tasks, such as clerical support, classroom management, document coordination and anything else that was needed to establish and maintain a positive learning environment.

- The second half of the 2017/2018 school year I took over a Language Arts classroom, developing lesson plans, grading, managing classroom behaviors and reporting to my principal.
