The New Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge- Design/Build (460 million)
The scope of this project encompasses the construction of a new six-lane Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge. Additionally, it involves the creation of two new at-grade traffic ovals, one on the west side of the river connecting South Capitol Street, Potomac Avenue, and Q Street SW, and the other on the east side connecting South Capitol Street, Suitland Parkway, and Howard Road SE. The project also entails the reconstruction of the Suitland Parkway/Interstate 295 interchange, enhancements to bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and improvements in drainage and stormwater management throughout the corridor. Responsibilities were to:
