Motivated individual with extensive experience in a correctional setting. Skilled in de-escalation techniques, inmate management, and problem-solving. Experienced in providing support to inmates, to ensure their safety and well-being. Committed to creating a safe environment and minimizing the risk of violence through proactive problem-solving. I have provided over 15 years of experience as a Training for trainers, T-4-T Instructor who has had the opportunity to instruct multiple subjects in a classroom setting during In Service Training. With My Training Experience, I possess the abilities to teach and control large groups of staff, effectively communicate a detailed lesson plan, and instruct and articulate well with various levels of skill sets. Throughout my career, I have taken great pride in carrying myself professionally, and representing the department in a positive light to the public, my fellow colleagues, and the inmate population. I manage to complete tasks without supervision and can work well with the directives of our Administration. I have been an IST Instructor now at San Quentin for 15 years.

With the position I now hold, I am responsible for the training of staff. I am currently the In Service Training Assistant Manager (Sergeant) and training coordinator for the Correctional Academy located in Galt California
