Worked in collaboration with 12 attorneys and 5 judges; worked under strict confidentiality of all documents; prepared, retrieved, maintained and delivered case files to appropriate attorneys and/or judges; also delivered physical case files to and from various court locations; obtained information from and provided information to the public, attorneys, court staff, and other agencies; answered incoming phone calls for tentative rulings; maintained and operated various office equipment; and performed a wide range of clerical duties.
OA duties include: answering multi-line phone, transferring, referring calls and answering questions; provide general information regarding substance abuse program either in person or over the phone; typing, data entry, sorting and filing; take referrals over the phone or in person for enrollment; schedule clients for an intake and/or staffing appointment; check-in clients for all appointments, distribute appropriate paperwork and check documents for completeness; process records and enters data onto forms and into database system; operates office equipment such as copy machine, scanner, fax machine, computers and printers; maintains papers and staples for all office equipment; compose and edit various documents for spelling, grammar and punctual accuracy; assist substance abuse specialists and supervisors with various tasks.
Responsible for the supervision of clients and oversight of the facility in a youth shelter and transitional living center; answer phones; provide basic shelter information to callers and/or visitors; maintain positive community relations with clients, parents, FPD, CPD, DSS CPS and other outside agencies; assign chores to clients; perform routine room inspections for cleanliness, contraband, and safety hazards; prepare and maintain client files and staff log; assist in daily program planning; lead recreational, social and academic activities; assist in preparing meals; dispense medication to specific clients; facilitate groups on various topics; facilitate the intake and exit process of clients; and assist with transporting clients to preferred destinations.
Oversee/monitor a residential unit; help facilitate groups; dispense medication at specified times; conduct searches on persons, property, and rooms to make sure clients and/or the facility are clean from any substance abuse; ensure that residents comply with program rules; facilitate the intake and exit process of program participants; face to face/phone communication with parole agents; assist with transporting clients to and from activities, work, and appointments; train new staff members; perform urine analysis on female participants and also assist clients with overall therapeutic issues.
Case management responsibilities include: case monitoring; correspondence; Sastrak documentation; referrals; advocacy; face to face and/or phone communication with program participants, state parole officials and community based providers.
