Education

Bachelor of Science - Mechanical Engineering

University of California, Irvine, Irvine, CA
06.2026
  • Relevant Coursework: MAE 10 Introduction to Engineering Computations: Learned elementary programming, numerical analysis, and data visualization with MATLAB. Completed a project that created a visual model of the eight planets of the Solar System which showed their dynamic location and speed at any given time.
  • Relevant Coursework: MAE 30 Statics: Using Vectors in 3D space to solve problems involving rigid bodies, distributed loads and trusses, all of which are building blocks of engineering designs.
  • Relevant Coursework: ENGRMAE 60 Electric Circuits: Designed and analyzed analog circuits based circuit elements with operational amplifiers. Included constructional and laboratory testing of analog circuits, and an introduction to data acquisition
  • Relevant Coursework: ENGR 54. Principles of Materials Science and Engineering: Learned about properties of materials including metal, ceramics, polymers, etc. Also studied , atomic structure, bonding, defects and magnetic properties to understand material processing and synthesis
  • Relevant Coursework: MAE 52 Computer Aided Design: Learned SolidWorks Program. Used it to create 3D models with extrusions, revolving, sweeps, lofts and creating sketches and constraints. Included a midterm robotics project design and a final project of our own design.
  • Relevant Coursework: MAE 80 Dynamics: Learned kinematics and dynamics of particles and rigid bodies in motion. Included topics like Newton-Euler, Work/Energy theorems, and Impulse/Momentum.
  • Relevant Coursework: MAE 91 Intro to Thermodynamics: Learned Thermodynamic principles such as the 1st and 2nd laws, calculating work and internal energies for open and closed systems and finding the processes of different states of matter for volume and pressure.
  • Relevant Coursework: MAE 150 Mechanics of Structures: Learned about engineering principles of rigid bodies. Topcis include: Stresse/Strains, axial & torsional loading, bending, shear, combined loading, stress and strain transformation, failure theories, beam deflection, and buckling.

High School Diploma -

El Segundo High School, El Segundo, CA
06.2022
  • Completed AP course in Computer Science - Learned software programming, testing, logic implementation and data documentation using Java and C++
  • Completed PLTW course in Introduction to Engineering design- Learned how to model objects using Autodesk Inventor/Fusion 360.
  • Completed PLTW course in Principles of Engineering- Learned about electrical and mechanical systems. This includes using design process to solve problems involving electrical circuits and joint truss systems.
  • Completed PLTW course in Aerospace Engineering - Learned how to use Autodesk Inventor and fusion360 to model and design models of aircraft vehicles and design satellite orbits.
  • Completed PLTW course in Engineering Design and Development - Learned how to use the design process to brainstorm, sketch and then manufacture devices used for specific goals and to work together in teams. This includes a capstone project where my team and I designed and built an automated sports tape dispenser for extra grip on rackets.
  • Projects in these engineering courses include designing a Mars Base by calculating the electric circuitry to operate all functions like temperature and lighting, creating miniature truss bridges that can handle large loads, creating an ideal bottle rocket using airfoil and fin designs and using a given motor with a $100 budget to design a small car that can drive at high speeds.
