Independent Researcher

  • Pursuing PhD and performing individual research on project title "Aircraft Interior Noise Reduction through Fabrication and Characterization of Highly Porous Polymer-Matrix Composite with Nanomaterials Inclusion", research focuses on emerging technologies using highly porous nanoparticles/polymer materials for noise control with high sound pressure applications and understanding effects of sound pressure on acoustic properties of these nanoparticles/polymer composites is crucial. When trying to predict performance, porous polymeric materials (PEEK, PAEK, PPS) are exceptionally durable with fire resistant properties due to their excellent performance of sound absorption characteristics and distinguished advantages in heat resistance, lightness, and toughness. Effect of sound pressure levels is in different frequencies, thus effect of sound pressure level on sound absorption characteristics yields different variation regularities. Sound absorption performance of porous materials increases with increase in sound pressure level in low frequency, which is reasonable and consistent with material parameters and interacting variables (two phase chemical composition, volume fraction, physical properties like interfacial tension, porosity, and density). At high sound pressure levels and at various frequencies these porous materials could supply reliable experimental validation in sound absorption coefficient and noise control. Mechanical properties of these composites change with material thickness, porosity and to calculate porous sub layers and porosity, this paper is using Transfer Matrix Method (TMM) and also deriving transmission and reflection wave coefficients, sound wave interface, sound wave propagation, compressibility and viscous permeability of composites by application of Biot-Rayleigh theory and Darcy's law. In this research study, transfer matrix is established at various sub layers and effects of transmission loss and sound absorption coefficient at various frequencies in polymeric nano inclusion composites were investigated. These composites were fabricated using high melting temperature polymers with nano inclusions which were uniformly dispersed to enhance properties of composites and also to test carbon particles that can influence properties of composites.
