Proteomics
Conducted comprehensive research investigations into Shell Disease Syndrome (SDS) in crustaceans. Responsible for conducting a variety of assays, encompassing Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), Western blot, gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE), and cell culturing. To facilitate genetic analysis, software tools such as NCBI and SnapGene were used.
Analytical Chemistry
Showcased proficiency by synthesizing a novel compound, a pyrazole, from an epoxide derived from a chalcone. Employing a multi-step process, a spectrum of techniques was utilized, including pH testing, chromatography, recrystallization, dissolution, extraction, and distillation. Products were analytically tested for purity and reaction completion using various methods such as NMR, IR, GC-MS, HPLC, and TLC.
