Work History

Machinist’s Mate Nuclear (MMN)

United States Navy
San Diego, CA
02.2022 - Current
  • Operated and performed preventive and corrective maintenance on nuclear propulsion plant mechanical systems, including steam turbines, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, feed and condensate systems, and auxiliary support equipment in a pressurized-water reactor environment.
  • Managed groups of 2-7 for preventative and corrective. Supervised groups of 5 for every day operation of reactor plant systems. As well as led in the qualification of my junior team members to build a strong foundation and build on.
  • Monitored and supported safe reactor and steam plant operations, adhering to strict radiological controls, quality assurance procedures, and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program standards to prevent incidents and ensure compliance.
  • Performed inventory, testing, transfers, and maintenance of lubricating oils, fuels, water systems, and industrial gases, contributing to reliable plant performance and equipment longevity.
  • Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams (including operators, technicians, and leadership) in high-stakes environments, demonstrating strong attention to detail, discipline, and ability to execute procedures under pressure.
  • Qualified in nuclear watchstanding and maintenance tasks, applying knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, mechanical systems, and nuclear safety principles gained through rigorous Naval training.
  • Maintained material history logs for any changes made throughout materials and specifications in the reactor plant.
