In my position at Family First Primary Care, I mastered administrative skills, including documentation and insurance verification, communication skills for patient education, and how to interact effectively with patients, primary care providers, specialists, and insurance companies. Medical terminology to accurately communicate patient diagnoses, treatment plans, and referral needs. In addition to customer service skills, I have implemented patient advocacy, professionalism, and adaptability to changes within the facility.

• Completed EKGs and other tests based on patient presentation in office.
• Obtained and documented patient medical history, vital signs and current complaints at intake.

In this position, I was primarily in the surgical department, working as a tech. I was able to become proficient in technical skills and interpersonal skills. This included primary patient care, communication, empathy and compassion, active listening, and teamwork within the surgical team.
