Summary

With over 21 years of experience in the healthcare field, including 17+ years as a Certified Athletic Trainer, I bring extensive expertise in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and sports conditioning. I have successfully enhanced athlete performance and recovery through my expert knowledge. Over the past 15 years, I have supervised and mentored two rotating combat medics, introducing them to sports medicine and providing education and guidance as they transition into this specialized field. As a member of multiple National Governing Bodies in Medical Support for Athletes Pursuing Olympic Goals, including Bobsleigh, Boxing, Modern Pentathlon, Para-Swimming, Rugby, Shooting, Skeleton, Taekwondo, Track and Field, and Wrestling, I actively support athletes in their pursuit of excellence. I have developed and managed strength and conditioning plans for US Army Track and Field athletes, ensuring peak physical performance through tailored programming. My expertise has been recognized through my selection as an Athletic Trainer for the USA Wrestling Greco-Roman Team at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and for the US Military World Games Wrestling and Track and Field Teams in 2015 & 2019. To further contribute to the field, I developed a comprehensive 20-hour introduction to sports medicine program for combat medics, ensuring their understanding of essential injury prevention, recognition, and treatment strategies. Prior to my career as an Athletic Trainer, I served in the US Army as a Combat Medic/Healthcare Specialist from 2010-2014, including a Combat Tour in Afghanistan in 2012. Additionally, I gained valuable emergency medical skills as an EMT-Basic in Rochester, NY. As a Clinical Preceptor, I have also mentored and guided graduate-level athletic training students.
