-Connecting and disconnecting chlorine railcars on a daily basis for the process
-Running various samples multiple times a shift, ensuring solids in the process were within tolerances.
-Checking cooling tower system, ensuring metering pumps were working and all parameters were within range.
-Handled the in plant rail system, having to operate the shuttle wagon to move rail cars or being the ground man staging the rail cars.
-Running the effluent area of the plant, bringing in lake water for the process. Then neutralizing waste water, settling solids in clarifier, then filtering in giant filer presses and pumping back to Lake Erie. Making sure pH, conductivity and NTU meets EPA standards.
-Having clear communication with the board operator while being in the field and trouble shooting issues within the process.
-In 2022 I was awarded an interviewed position for the day shift relief operator. Relieving operators so they can be trained on other systems, dealing with plant clean up and handling other tasks assigned. Unfortunately the position got dissolved for “budget” reasons.
-Programming and running a laser that cut sheet metal, occasionally had to draw the part in AutoCAD.
-Running press brakes, rollers, shears, band saws. Welding when needed.
-Making sure finished products were within specifications and tolerances
