As of now I lead our maintenance team at Roseburg Forest Products, riddle engineered wood. We complete 3 to 4 alternating machine center outages a week, these outages can range from 3 to 8 hours. During the outages I am responsible for approving the majority of the safer work permits and when needed, I help with lock out verifications.

As for hands on work, I get work orders scheduled to myself that I complete as fast as situations will allow it. I also do a large sum of fabrication, lathe, and milling machine work, and I know my way around the tooling that’s needed to successfully build components on either machine.

Another responsibility of mine is directing the majority of the contractors around the facility on a daily basis and during machine center outage's. I ensure the contractors safer work permits are prepared for them, And that they understand our safety culture. Majority of the time I am responsible for getting the contractors parts to their job site and submitting those parts into our asset management system.

I also take part in EAM, I validate work request and verify they are ready to be scheduled on a daily basis. I am capable of scheduling using EAM and I’ve filled in for our scheduler before in the past.

Ive taken part in our plants EHS team (environmental health and safety) On that team, I served as vice president for an extended period of time.

I help lead our monthly safety meetings when needed and I ensure that the topics we cover in our safety meetings are followed on the floor by team members and myself included.

I am a certified trainer and operator using Overton training programs, including Overhead cranes, fork lift/extended reach lifts, man basket/scissor lift, and fall protection.
