As the Assistant Director of Learning Development I am responsible for aiding the Director of Learning Development by ensuring that schools, service providers, and parents receive the necessary training and informational updates to effectively utilize all scholarship programs. I am responsible for guiding regional managers in the creation and delivery of training through in-person events and virtual webinars and maintaining a comprehensive calendar of such events. As the Assistant Director I incorporate innovative best practices and techniques to support the team’s mission of delivering impactful learning solutions. Additionally, I assist in organizing SUFS-initiated conferences and oversee the organization and scheduling of SUFS employees attending SUFS-attended conferences.

My Essential Functions

  • Lead the development and delivery of all external training and learning programs, including webinars, recorded videos, conference presentations, Open Houses, Office Hours, Scholarship Overviews, and Rising Stars for all scholarship programs.
  • Utilize a variety of visual and technical aids to enhance remote delivery, creating an engaging learning environment.
  • Focus on continuous innovation and improvement in training methodologies.
  • Foster a team culture of trust, collaboration, innovation, integrity, empowerment, courage, and positive relationships.
  • Plan and manage a comprehensive training calendar to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, scopes, and quality standards.

  • Support regional managers in completing training and learning tasks on time, ensuring quality and proper vetting.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to ensure proper branding and communication regarding all scholarship programs.

  • Assist the Director in Overseeing client experiences from conception through post-event review; manage on-site preparations, production, and event breakdown; ensure consistent, high-level service throughout all phases.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues.

As a Regional Manager, I lead selected business initiatives, collaborate with others within the organization, and took a leadership role to support the organization’s mission. As a Regional Manager, I was responsible for supporting a variety of educational models (schools, hybrids, homeschool, etc.), service providers and families within the respective regions. My support included but not be limited to school visits, training, communications, advocacy, conference and event presentations, call projects, data collection, and other activities and tasks deemed necessary by the organizational leadership.

My Essential Functions

· Maintains a database of all regional educational models for the purpose of communication, school visits, collateral distribution, and other support tasks.

· Delivers training within respected regions to include but not be limited to EMA, Scholarship Overviews, Open Houses, and other stakeholder training and webinars.

· Identifies parent, school and provider advocates as needed by the Policy, Innovation & Empowerment Advocacy team to support legislative initiatives. Maintain relationships with education advocates with consistent contact throughout the year.

· Leads a specific initiative/training for the Community Relations team as determined by leadership and individual manager interest and talents. Evaluate the success of initiative(s) for process improvement.

· Actively participates in the planning and implementation of Rising Stars and other organizational events.

· Attends and serves at various educational choice conferences and events. This includes exhibit booth and presentation opportunities that provide a broad level of customer support to families, schools and providers.

· Other additional duties as assigned.
