ROTC Responsibilities

Battalion Commanding Officer

  • Responsible for day to day and long term operations in the Navel ROTC program.
  • Ensured proper execution of battalion events and communication between active duty staff and students.

Crew Commander

  • Responsible for communication between crew chiefs regarding battalion members day to day lives and student staff.
  • Planned and executed end of semester competition to build camaraderie and celebrate the end of the academic semester.

Communications Officer

  • Responsible for battalion social media posts, campus presence, recruiting efforts, and Military Officers Association of America articles from NROTC unit.

Crew Chief

  • Responsible for passing word and ensuring tasks were completed for group of ten battalion members, as well as their day to day updates.

Public Affairs Officer

  • Responsible for taking photos of battalion events and making posts on the battalion social media pages.

New Student Orientation Action Officer

  • Responsible for planning and execution of orientation event during the Summer for incoming Freshman students.

Volunteer

  • Volunteered at Lawrence High School as an assistant coach for Freshman and Sophomore basketball teams. Met five days a week for multiple hours for practice, games, and film.
  • Volunteered at Googols of Learning to help remove old mulch and replace it with new mulch at their playgrounds.
