The value of hard work and determination have been the focus of every job throughout my life. From my first job as a young kid at the local bike shop to professional aviation school, I stay focused on doing anything it takes to be one of the best. I started working from a young age, but my first recorded job was when I was 15 at The Bike Hub, where I learned the basics of professionalism and what it means to take good care of your customers. I worked during my high school years while racing and riding mountain bikes on a semi-professional level. After my last year of high school, I focused on my next level of education at Washington State University. At the start of my college career, I was determined to learn how to invest and strived to be a part of the commercial real estate world. During my summers in college, I would travel up to Alaska and work on a fishing vessel for nearly two months to help cover the school's expenses. The summers spent in Alaska helped shape me into a diligent worker who could overcome multiple scenarios where others might struggle. I became a dedicated deckhand professional with a history of meeting company goals utilizing consistent and organized practices. I was skilled in working under pressure and adapting to new situations and challenges to enhance the operation as a whole best. Those times also made me an organized and dependable candidate who successfully managed multiple priorities with a positive attitude. I showed a willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals. During the months of school, I would help manage and maintain the bike share program used by the community and campus in Pullman, WA. I also worked in the shop to provide students with the necessary tools, equipment, and assistance to work on their bicycles. I was proud to help fellow students maintain their use of transportation that allowed them to continue their educational careers. The job at WSU shaped me into a practiced mechanic offering strong customer service skills and expertise in diagnosing problems based on customer complaints or concerns. Effective in instructing users on proper bike maintenance functions. I was skilled in working with teams to address special requests for bicycle customization. In between commercial fishing and college, when I stayed at Spokane at home, I continued my mechanic skills at another bike shop called Spoke n Sport. I was able to use my skills effectively and help customers achieve their goals in a timely matter. I focused on the most cost and time-effective strategies to satisfy the customers and the business.
After graduating from college in 2021, I decided that aviation was my true passion. I started studying and preparing to become an aviator, and after coming home from Alaska that summer, I started my training. I chose ATP Flight Academy as my school and moved down to Arizona to complete my flight training and began learning the professional way of aviation. ATP is shaping me into a qualified pilot with extensive experience in Cessna 172 and Piper PA-44 models. They focus on building hardworking and diligent professionals with an exceptional eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of flight safety and operational standards. I am currently in training to achieve my commercial pilot's certificate and will finish the program with my CFI, CFII, COMME, and MEI ratings to help me pursue my dream of flying for the airlines.
