  • While working for Aspen Square, I performed the duties of a floating leasing agent while my home office was River Reach in Naples. I would float between Naples and Fort Myers, depending on which property needed help that day. Similar to Greystar, I would process applications, tour incoming prospects and schedule tours, respond to incoming emails and phone calls, and coordinate move-ins and perform move-ins with new residents. As a floating agent however, I would additionally follow up on previously started applications, send out welcome letters for coworkers and complete move-ins for coworkers.

  • As a leasing professional for Greystar, I worked for The Reserve at Coconut Point which was a new property (actually still in construction), and my office team and myself worked remotely before moving into our office on-site once it was ready. As a brand new property, we were quite busy and handled a high-traffic office as our community and our team’s professionalism was highly desired. I took incoming phone calls, emails, and walk-in prospects and answered any questions, toured those who requested to do so, in an effort to lease as many apartments as quickly as possible. I would handle applications, explain the application process to prospects and applicants, complete applicant/move-in files and have them approved or denied, coordinate move-ins and prepare leased apartments for move-ins. Additionally, we frequently walked the grounds/property to ensure it was presentable and up-to-par, and did the same for our vacant-ready units. I would coordinate work orders with maintenance and follow up with residents to ensure satisfaction and maintain the clubhouse as well.

  • Working for Greystar currently, this has been my first experience of the 55+ Active Adult side of apartment management industry. While maintaining nearly all the same aspects as my other leasing professional roles, my experience with Diamond Oaks Village, which is my home property, has demanded a slower pace of resident and prospect interaction, while maintaining high traffic in leads and prospects and high amounts of engagement. My normal duties ranged from marketing and setting up/hosting prospect events (on and off property), to touring incoming prospects and scheduling tours which can take upwards of 3 hours each as a thorough “discovery process” is mandated for each of our prospects as per best practices, to acting as front desk concierge when needed. All phone calls are to be logged, along with their reason for calling, who they are, and the result of the call. I would sell my community to prospects, process their applications, give them their Welcome Letters and lease and walk them through acquiring FPL and Renter’s Insurance (especially since most were home owners all of their lives), and guide them through the move-in step by step.

Waterproofer

For Task Force & White Stone, I work currently as a waterproofer/siding installer. I began my work with them this September. We work on homes withing a military base, provding waterproofing improvements/installations to the exterior of the homes, removing the exterior siding & previous waterproofing barriers, assessing any possible water damage (and cutting out and replacing if it exists), and installing our waterproofing processes & replacing the exterior siding. We also replace the back doors, redo kickout areas of the roof/gutter system, replace gutters & downspouts.

Most of the position can be executed with tools typically on your everyday work belt, but occasionally, powertools such as drills, chop saws & multitools are needed.

Working for Sarah Stein Homes & Thomas Stein Inc, I initially took the role of Personal Assistant for both companys’ owner & GC, with duties ranging from answering calls and emails, coordinating meetings & scheduling both work related & personal, light house work & car maintenance, running errands both work related & personal, and maintaining professional communication & image at all times.

After my first couple of months, I had essentially fully assumed the position of Project Manager for the vertical side of the companies and was promoted to the position. From there, I shed most of my Personal Assistant tasks & fully acquired handling of the build budgets, communications with trades & developers, getting bids for upcoming projects, creating budget & finish options for clients, coordinating work on site versus projected project schedules, checking work sites, etc.

Our typical day-to-day duties involved operating hand/power tools, performing a range of light touch up work to complete remodels + demolitions, setting up and taking down along with traversing and working safely on scaffolding, among many other tasks.

The position was extremely rewarding with a positive work place environment, great attitudes, strong work ethic, and the opportunity to work alongside extremely helpful and knowledgeable colleagues.

We worked on drywall, drywall repairs, door & window installation, interior & exterior remodeling/repair, deck remodels, caulking & touch ups, all within multimillion dollar homes.
