Marine Mechanic
- Certified Mercury Technician
- Vessel license and a truck to pull and lake test boats
- Performing service/engine work on outboard and inboards
- Winterization
- Bleeding steering systems
- Working with and rigging/wiring various electronics such as graphs, NEMA network, Live Scope, Active Target, Smart Craft, various trolling motors, different pumps, radios and speakers
- Installing products like seastar steering system/helm, power poles, trim units, and throttle/shift cables
- Properly installing and rigging, or switching engines
- Fiberglass and gel coat repairs
- Correctly sanding scratches out of paint or gel coat down to 2000, buffing and polishing
- Working with different air sanders, buffers, cut off wheels, torches and various power tools
- Detailing inside and out of boats
- Work on trailer hubs and brakes, installing/fixing lights
- Re-doing deck lid and bunk board carpet
- Drive a tractor to pull boats and use other heavy equipment
- Fast and accurate when diagnosing mechanical or electrical problems
- Accurately documenting work and ordering parts for jobs
- Lots of tool and a tool box
