My interest in keeping old vehicles alive has taught me that I can do anything I set my mind to, and has taught me to be incredibly resourceful. Through my employment as a Service Advisor, I have learned to effectively communicate, sell work and jobs, and facilitate a favorable outcome for both parties involved. I have exceptional sales experience and communication skills, allowing me to interact well with anyone I meet.
- Acquire repair orders or build orders and repair or customize vehicle as customers request
- Make recommendations based off of project goals and expectations and make modifications when needed to repair order to better fit company's goal and customers goal alike
- Create parts lists for vehicles to fulfill tasks
- Work with my knowledge on aftermarket parts and systems to understand parts requirements
- Install and modify as needed all components
- Full mechanical work; removal, documentation and installation
- Restore what is needed to be retained, and replace wear items or damaged items and document progress daily
- Attention to detail and understanding of the overall project picture to best understand what will all be needed
- Meet with customer weekly to discuss progress, acquire payments and set expectations of timelines and impacts of findings as we move along in the projects
- Determine vehicle needs and customer goals
- Set estimates and parts ordering as needed / requested
- Recommend body of work needed to reach certain goals and expectations
- Fabricate as needed, MIG welding, fiberglass repairing
- Restoration of components; sandblasting, rust proofing, patch panel installation, paint work as needed (novice)
- Electrical restoration and diagnosing. Install full body wiring harnesses as needed or repair exisiting harnesses depending on customer budget and goals
- Engine repair and diagnosis, conversions to EFI and modern accessories as needed
- Sound system installation and upgrades to modern components as needed
- Frame repairs and modification as needed or requested
- Installation of aftermarket frame members, backhalfs, clips and the like as requested
- Brake system conversions (drum to disc, full systems, hand bent brake lines)
- Air suspension installations and servicing
- Frame off rebuilds or restorations
- Patina matching when repairing rust
- Suspension rebuilds - stock or custom depending on job requirements and customer requests
- Intake of customers at initial drop of vehicle
- Ensure all customer goals and direct expectations are noted and accounted for
- Acquire approval of cost before anything is set in motion, repair or maintenance alike
- Setup a profile for the customer with their goals for the vehicle and the vehicles history to that point, to ensure work recommendations fit the customers life and driving habits
- Orchestrate vehicle pickup if needed; or transportation of customer to home or work, as needed
- Intake vehicle in a detailed manner, pictures of all damage to safeguard our technicians and business, and customer alike if we did damage the vehicle in our possession
- Document warning lights, tire tread depth, light checks
- Hand work over to technicians based on issue, difficulty, make/model peculiarities and things of that sort
- Write up all vehicle recommendations or needs as per maintenance schedule and State Inspection mandated items, organzing them in levels of importance and urgency (if dangerous) to plan out a maintenance future for the vehicle
- Facilitate parts acquisition and expected completion time with the customer, and confirming pricing fits their budget and needs for the vehicle
- Make adjustments and changes needed based off customer needs (long road trip coming up, child going to college with vehicle)
- Handle customer expectations based off of their vehicles overall state and health, and in some cases recommend if vehicle no longer suits their needs or budgeting requirements
- Train and crosstrain employees, porters, counterstaff
- Check vehicle over after repairs to ensure vehicle is undamaged, clean and ready to be returned to customer
- Handle customer payments and if needed orchestrate customer payment plans through third parties
- Meet with management and upper management to tweak processess as needed, place employees in better opportunities where they will thrive, and participate in daily morning meetings to set goals and clearly understand where everyone stands for the day
- Organize accounts for local shops and businesses

- In my antique vehicle restoration and work, I was able to build myself a 1967 C10, 100% frame off, which has opened many doors and put my skills on a very public playing field, I was able to learn wiring, motor building, suspension building (air ride install + notching the backhalf of the frame, building a custom setup), to interior customization and sound systems, sheet metal repair, patina matching and paintwork, light metalshaping, understandings of sound deadening and its effects, and customization in stock appearing forms
- Having worked on old vehicles for quite a while has allowed me to build a name for myself locally, in which many people seek me out to work on projects fallen to the wayside, newly acquired antique vehicles with issues, builds they are stuck on or just general customization and repairs
- Through the project C10 I built, I was able to gain recognition as an individual, enough to catch the attention of the C10 Club, and be placed as the President of the C10 Club in Virginia.
