Joined ECI in June of 2019 after a 7 months time with Process Power. Began my Electrical Apprenticeship with schooling while continuing to work. Started with learning the basics of industrial pad location builds. Became a certified and licensed Fiber Optic Outside Plant Technician and also leading and working with another peer to install and terminate all fiber applications throughout the Chesapeake field on new pads as well as older locations. Spent few months time learning the trade in skid shops building industrial skids, learning how industrial devices and panels were terminated. Had the opportunity to work on the residential electrical side and manage and lead a crew to complete the tasks associated with the applications for new construction builds. Spent a year managing other employees on a new cabling job for Banner Wyoming Medical Center running new low voltage cables for camera, security, door access, and data systems. Supervised employees with new data, camera and security cable systems for Guernsey School District and Newcastle School District, working with data engineers and school staffs to achieve the desired outcome. Spent last year running and pulling all fiber optic cable for Anschutz. Worked along pipeline crews to lay fiber followed by installing and terminating pad and pipeline fiber optic communication systems within Anschutz for new construction projects as well as assisting in new electrical construction. Powering up wellhead injection skid devices, drives, motors, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems/devices, and other electrical components of the oil field as needed. Assisted with production electrical installations and wiring as needed.
To start my oilfield career spent time as a technician assisting with pad commissioning and programming of PLC and ROC systems and devices for Chesapeake. Set parameters on pressure and flow devices in Apollo Skids and wellhead systems with TREX equipment throughout the location. Worked with my supervisor to set and program tank level devices and emergency shut down systems as well as testing safety shutdowns and functions of automated implications on location before pad was turned over to production. Started fiber optic terminations after going through training course to become a certified fiber optic installer through Light Brigade.
