- Tour hospital policies and procedures
- Retrieve information from and enter information into the master patient index
- Scan/file and retrieve medical records
- Obtain information from and enter information into the chart location system
- Scan/file loose material
- Assemble medical records/verify scanned records
- Analyze medical records for deficiencies and recheck records
- Assist with incomplete/delinquent chart count including physician notification of delinquent records
- Process outpatient records
- Observe/assist with elimination of duplicate records
- Locate and copy medical records with scanning and archiving
- Obtain information and complete birth/death certificates
- Observe in the patient admitting process
