  • I completed my level 2a fieldwork in the school system. By the end of the rotation I was covering the full case load of students, their IEP/504, evaluations, documentation, and interventions. I had one home school (elementary) where the majority of the students I worked with were at as well as two additional preschools. I also had the opportunity to work with a couple other occupational therapists at various school including: elementary, middle and high school students.

I completed my level 1a mental health rotation at Our House. Our House is a non-profit, residential care facility for individuals living with HIV. Our House provides many different support services and occupational therapy is one that supports individuals to manage independent living and "live well".

Initially, I observed but by the end of the rotation I had created and ran groups (craft group, exercise group). I was able to practice many skills learned in school related to groups, intervention planning and mental health.
