Drawing, painting, wood burning, sports, and building model cars

Drawing, painting, and wood burning is a way of expressing myself. In the beginning I never thought I would use my creative art skills in my work industry but I was wrong. It all started when I started drawing cars as I have a major interest in working with cars let alone being able to work with race cars! I was encouraged and supported by my fellow co-workers, manager, and boss. I began my first car paintings during Christmas a few years ago, around 2016. This was right after my car accident on August 3, the same year. I was at a nearby supermarket with my Grandmother when I was ran over by a car twice. I suffered traumatic brain injuries, blood clots, a fractured pelvis and broken bones. Although my prognosis put my chances for survival as slim, I kept clinging to life. Two neurosurgeons at SF General conducted an experimental procedure in an attempt to save my life, something that had never been tried before. Thanks to these neurosurgeons and my will to live I defied the odds and fought my way back to consciousness. After hours of rehab I eventually recovered and am able to live a normal life pursuing my dreams. That same operation is being taught in medical schools with my video evidence of its success. It has saved many lives since the success. It is incredible that my horrific event somehow had a great outcome. From then on art was something I began to explore and become interested in. The painting I did was two Bugatti in front of the car restoration shop that was used for the Shop Christmas card cover. Ever since then I began doing more car paintings and race car driver paintings to the point where customers from the car restoration shop started requesting custom paintings. I have done a few for various customers and co-workers. Later on, I began extending my interest into wood burning. I greatly enjoyed it and I began doing more art works with wood burning. Recently, I have completed 3 wood burning pieces for two famous race car drivers, Dane Cameron and Juan Pablo Montoya. Art is a skill that requires a lot of patience. Being able to sit or stand for hours using precision to create art pieces, a skill important for any work. To work with extreme detail and patience.
I love to compete in sports, to be the best of the best. In sophomore year, I was on my High school's swim team. In freshman year I didn't know how to swim but I managed to learn in a short amount of time in Physical Education and advanced into advanced swimming. As soon as I found out about the swim team I joined as soon as I got the chance. The coach doubted me at first as I don't have professional swim training. However, by the end of the year I won every single race I was in and still continuing to try to beat my record high swim time (2 laps under 30 seconds). Either try hard or go home!
I recently got into building model cars. As much as I love to build race car engines, building model cars is a fun hobby to extend my creative side. Unlike drawing, painting, or wood burning, I am required to use my thinking skills to engineer a moving vehicle. This encourages me to use my skills such as math and hand working skills to create. It also lets me practice building small and difficult to work with parts which gives and adds muscle memory.

There is no such thing as giving up, if you are given a challenge take it on and fight until you have achieved your goals or become an inspiration for others. Motivation and determination is what keeps me going. There is no such thing as giving up, if you are given a challenge take it on and fight until you have achieved your goals or become an inspiration for others. “Do not let a little problem bring you down but keep hammering at it. Do the best you can and that’s what matters.” “Just be calm and always think tomorrow is a better day. Be patient and always face the problem, don't run away from the problem and be open minded about it.”
