Kyra Larson

Recognized for quick and effective decision-making in crisis situations, I provide direct supervision for up to thirteen youth at a time, facilitating group interaction through daily meetings and structured activities. I support youth in working through their evidence-based treatment assignments, guiding them throughout the treatment process and serving as an advocate for a total of twelve youth. My role includes preparing accurate documentation of daily activities, behavioral adjustments, and any critical incidents. Additionally, I maintain positive working relationships with staff, parents, outside agencies, and the youth in my care.

• Worked with children of varying age, interest, skill, and developmental levels.
• Led groups of children safely through variety of camp activities.
• Organized and guided group activities by leading, coaching, and participating with campers.
• Acted as positive role model and mentor to provide campers with constructive guidance and promote healthy habits and attitudes.
• Communicated with families to keep parents informed on child's camp experience and address any concerns or issues.
• Assisted with meal preparations and clean-ups to maintain clean and organized camp environment and keep campers well-fed.
• Participated in camper registration and check-in processes to collect all necessary camp information and paperwork.

During the summer of 2022 I worked at Genesis as a camp counselor, I was the lead Counselor, worked well with parents and I have a strong work ethic by never missing a day of work. I could come in at least five minutes early when I would open. During the times that I would close I would make sure that everything is cleaned up and whipped down. Throughout my time at Genesis I developed my problem solving skills along with my interpersonal relationship that I made along the way.
