  • As Chief Reactor Operator, responsibilities included maintaining reactor safety and ship's propulsion, distilling pure water from ocean water, monitoring and adjusting system chemistries, and maintaining radioactive systems and controls as well as constant electrical power from ship generators to ship's auxiliaries and plant equipment.
