Summary

During my time in Texas I had the privilege of being an inclusion Specialist at Overton Ray Elementary School, adept in Special Education Law and fostering parent-teacher collaboration. I aided in peer mentorship and diversity events, significantly enhancing student integration and academic engagement. I excelled in creating inclusive curriculums and environments, demonstrating exceptional cultural competency and team collaboration skills. Before becoming a full time employee at Ray I also had the privilege of being a substitute teacher at I C Evans elementary and at Overtone Ray. My experience taught me to be a versatile and dedicate substitute teacher with focus on individual needs of special education students, as well as general education students. I also learned to be empathetic and accommodating in design and implementation of hands-on lessons, exceptional skills working with teachers, parents and specialists to meet the educational needs of students. I love being able to help kids and assist them in their full academic potential.
