With a robust background in special education and dyslexia therapy, I've honed skills in multisensory instruction and emotional intelligence, notably at Mississippi College and Western Line School District. Achievements include over 300 hours of targeted dyslexia therapy and significant progress in IEP goal monitoring, showcasing my dedication to continuous improvement and student success.
I am currently in my last semester ( of academics) of graduate school at Mississippi College, Dyslexia Therapy Program, M. Ed. I have been providing Dyslexia Therapy students after school at Riverside School and I serve a home-schooled student since August of 2023. I currently have 300 hours of providing Dyslexia Therapy services, which includes sending my lesson plans to my instructor at MS College and sending in observation videos of my therapy sessions.
I am a Special Education Teacher at Riverside High School serving grades 7th-9th grade. My caseload consists of the students that are Intellectually Disabled, on the Alternate Diploma route and resource students that are on the Traditional Diploma route.
I am responsible for writing I.E.P's, keeping up to date progress monitoring of I.E.P. goals, maintaining state compliance by completing reevaluations, implementing manifestation of determination procedures, writing Behavior Support/Intervention Plans, administering A.C.T. and providing inclusion, resource and accommodation/modifications in order for students to be successful.
I teach the Alternate Elements curriculum which includes the following subjects: Alternate English/Reading, Alternate Math, Alternate Social Studies, Alternate Science, Life Skills Development, Career Readiness.

I was a the Speech Therapist at the Kindergarten/Pre-K Building and provided services in the Elementary. I provided hearing screenings, as well as serving the Arcola Head Start for Speech Therapy and administering the Developmental Delay testing for the center.
My goal is to obtain the Dyslexia Therapist position at Our Lady of Lourdes/St. Joseph School.
