Project Engineer

Charge VPI
01.2023 - Current

with an accumulated six years of construction experience, with the Charge family I am very familiar with PG&E standards and worked in multiple programs at VPI, including:

  • Created a standard format and layout for job packages that is utilized throughout the team, coordinated POs, and scheduled delivery for concrete materials.
  • Assisted in RFIs and unit adders for projects, ensured all NTP paperwork was approved to keep start dates on track, submitted closeout and go-back documents on time with accuracy.
  • Attended job kick-offs and field meetings as needed, assisted the field with any redline changes, photos, and unit sheet questions for all jobs.
  • Created a weekly document tracker template for accuracy, tracked units in Fair Tool, and checked for any discrepancies or needed changes.
  • Kept an open line of communication with PM and Field, approved invoices, and tracked estimates for accuracy.
  • Monitored all documents, photos, and diary in time cards, and provided feedback to the field/PM.

VPI Field engineer (08w)

  • Was a temp FE for over several months providing in-field 08W support for up to 12 crews (civil & electric). Where I Implemented processes for better project communication and document organization.
  • Reviewed and corrected daily unit sheets to ensure accuracy.
  • Assisted Foreman with time cards and training.
    Supported Foreman submission's of hard rock/depth adder photos.
    Delivered vendor tag documentation to Concord office for tracking.
  • Submitted GSAV pre and post videos when possible, and communicated with PG&E for updates.
  • Handled go-back requests from the PM team for the required measurements and photos.
  • Trained and supported two Field Engineers to improve field operations.
  • Established a standardized unit sheet approval process for PG&E, enhancing RFI approval efficiency.

EV Program

  • I analyzed new job construction estimates and submittals, created job packages, attended and coordinated pre-construction meetings with PG&E PM.
  • Sorted, priced, and ordered material, and coordinated delivery with vendors.
  • I communicated work scope changes with GFs and subcontractors, submitted highly detailed job package closeouts (BTM/TTM), and met with field personnel once a week to coordinate schedule changes in Benicia.

SCADA

  • Estimated and billed jobs monthly, ensuring accurate financial tracking.
  • Coordinated schedules with electric GF and PG&E during weekly calls.
  • Served as the point of contact for all material and go-back requests.
    Created job packages and monitored schedule changes.
  • Monitored PG&E electric standards to maintain compliance for crews.
    Ensured timely documentation of time cards and job packages.
  • Experienced in most Bay Area city, county, and Caltrans permit processes, and inspection requests.
  • Proficient in using the Bluebeam engineering and design program, as well as Adobe.
