Accomplishments

  • Completed mentorship training in my first year of nursing at Leicester General Hospital, making me one of the youngest to do so in the hospital. Mentored trainee nurses during preceptorship and while they were students.
  • Partook a successful study of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) at Middlesex University, London. This was the first study of its kind in my university, helping to raise awareness around the campus. Presented a PowerPoint presentation to a large conference of people.
  • Published by the British Journal of Midwifery in March 2023. This was a study ‘Exploring the Knowledge, Education, and Training of Midwives in Providing Care to Women with Female Genital Mutilation’.
