Activities

As a teacher, who is passionate about providing elementary students with a solid foundation in reading, I create diagnostic-prescriptive intervention plans when operating Tier II and Tier III instruction. I run skill-based assessments, so I know exactly what reading components my students have mastered and which components I need to explicitly teach. I desire to be skilled to help students with the most challenging reading struggles, including dyslexia. I am currently in the Take Flight dyslexia training program to become a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT). During my off time, I love to be outside with my family hiking, camping, biking, grilling, and kayaking. You can also find me cheering on my children at a basketball gym, soccer field, or a track and field event. I also love to meet up with friends for tennis, coffee dates or walks.
