• Baruch College, Natural Sciences Department (Spokony Lab), New York, NY, Laboratory Assistant, 01/01/16, 05/01/16, Researched the effect of ectopic application of Methoprene, a Juvenile hormone (JH) analogue in Drosophila., Performed a Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS) on the effect of Juvenile hormone (JH) in Drosophila isolines in terms of pupariation success., Discovered that after application of Methoprene certain SNPs in 5' or 3' UTR regulatory regions of specific genes (i.e. Svil) correlate to failure to pupariate and subsequent higher larval mortality., Studied and analyzed visual and other aspects of experimental specimens, such as eclosion rate, larval mortality, adult male fly gonad rotation, and adult female to male eclosion rate., Moderate experience with confocal microscopy., Developed a research poster to display study findings (Baruch Inquiry Day).
