In my role as a Medical Scribe, I collaborated with Dr. Roa in meticulously documenting patient histories, exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans. This experience enriched my perspective towards the dedication frontline healthcare workers demonstrate, emphasizing the importance of robust physician-patient relationships. It has built a solid foundation for my future career advancement in the healthcare field.

Actively represented the bleeding disorder community, directly advocating issues related to healthcare policies and affordable insurance coverage at a national event. Conducted meetings with state representatives to discuss the importance of funding for the Hemophilia Treatment Center and other federal programs. Educated lawmakers on the complexities related to hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, thereby facilitating better comprehension and action.

While participating in community engagements, I shared personal stories and experiences to shed light on the diverse impacts of bleeding disorders on daily life, emphasizing the persisting stigma prevalent within specific communities and ethnic groups. Moreover, I established an open dialogue about the significant variation in experiences between men and women with bleeding disorders, such as intensified symptoms during menstrual cycles. This effort underpins my commitment to advocating for inclusivity and understanding within healthcare dialogue and practice.
