PSYCHOLOGY

My childhood hasn't been the best one, but one thing that sparked my imagination and really got my brain working was the concept of psychology. My father passed away from lung cancer when I was nine and with the grieving process came the experience of talk therapy for the first time. It took a while for me to open up, but when I did I found it was so beneficial to my mental health as a child. That's when I realized what I wanted to become when I grew up: a counselor working with adolescents. My goal is to be the person I had when I was a kid to another child who is going through some of the same things. I strive to help people, and that has led me to what I am pursuing now. 

THEATRE & ACTING

Ever since high school, I have adored everything when it comes to Broadway and beyond. I've acted in plays and I've gone to see many musicals and plays in the last few years, like Phantom of the Opera on the West End in London. It has really sparked my passion for acting. Because of that, I have a theatre minor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a concentration on acting. Broadening my horizons to a bigger world of occupations that deal with the skills that come with theatre is one of my goals.
