Lakin Rauth

Pikeville,KY

Summary

Raised in Appalachia, I was trained to support my community through extensive volunteer work. Apart from working with various service organizations, I balanced academic excellence (graduating as valedictorian and a Governor's Scholar), while also having much involvement in extracurriculars (including varsity golf, student body president for three years, an advisor to the principal, and leadership in various other clubs). Now in Danville, I am continuing pursuing academic excellence (making the Dean's list in my first semester here) and finding volunteer opportunities in the community here, joining the After-School Program. Regardless of where I am, I desire to do everything with excellence, in such a way that will benefit those around me.
