Custom work on pecan trees of all varieties:

1) Budding and grafting of pecan trees in orchards and nurseries;

2) Pruning of pecan trees in orchards;

3) Consultation concerning pecan trees in orchards and nurseries;

4) Custom work seasons begin January 1 of each year and end approximately Labor Day of each year.

Responsible for grading of pecan samples gathered from growers all over Georgia.

Also responsible for loading of transport containers in preparation of shipping pecans for export out of country.

Returned to custom pecan tree propagation work, being self-employed full-time.

1) Budding and grafting of young pecan trees in orchards and nurseries.

2) Pruning of pecan trees in young pecan orchards.

3) Consultations with pecan orchards and nurseries.

Established nurseries, and managed day-to-day operations of the Nut Tree Nurseries.

Took over daily operations of family farm, partnered with my younger brother.

1) Grew pecans in orchard;

2) Bought pecans from public;

Raised livestock....cattle and goats.

Taking in yard-crop pecans for evaluating, grading and purchasing.

Custom pecan tree propagation work, by the piece, to whip graft young pecan trees in the nurseries of south Georgia. The season for this was from January through mid-March.

From 2007 -2009, I did this grafting work on trees January through March, and then operated Mid-South Maintenance from April through October. After that, helped with pecan harvest on family farm in MS.

This small company supplied labor for special jobs and management of those projects on a custom basis. This company had three regular customers:

1) A casino

2) A municipality

A Hospital

We supplies labor and management of labor for jobs they could not or did not wish to do in-house.

This little business did quite well until the downturn of the economy in 2010. At that time, my customers decided they would have to do the labor themselves.

Purchasing pallets for repair and building new pallets to be sold.

1) Trucks were purchased to transport pallets to customers.

2) Set up MC authority to be able to haul freight in addition to our own products (pecans, livestock and pallets).

3) Continued pallet operations until 2005, when Hurricane Katrina made lumber purchase very difficult.

4) Continued trucking as owner-operator through 2006 when we sold all trucks.

Sales of feed, seed and garden/farm supplies.

I did custom propagation work on pecan trees all over the state of Georgia.

1) Budded, grafter and pruned pecan trees in orchards and nurseries, older big trees and smaller young ones.

2) In that time, continued work on family farm during harvest season.

Worked on family farm (pecans and livestock) until beginning custom work on pecan trees.
