LAMUN SELLERS

I competed the Super Frog Triathlon in 2006 at the Navy Seal base San Diego, CA and won 3rd place. I also volunteered to help the Evacuees of the 2006 Wildfire with the Rock church San Diego, CA. In 2008, I volunteered with the Homeless ministry helping to feed Homeless with the Rock Church San Diego, CA. While attending community college in 2010, I was President of the Power Club, a campus club to help women succeed. In 2010 and 2011, I was a recipient of the Soroptimist Women Scholarship in San Diego, CA.

In the last five to six years, I spent more than three years working at a Pretrial detention center, two plus years at different Court settings, and now I hold a position as a Corporal working at Juvenile and traffic courts.

In my free time, I help deputy sheriff’s jailers prepare for the Academy by teaching them basic firearms skills. I also help deputies who are failing their firearms qualifications to pass and for some, I help them regain their weapons. I maintain my firearm skills by competing in IDPA shooting matches once a month. I won 1st place in August of 2023 in my division (Women/ Law enforcement).
