Graduated from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, majoring in Political Science, concentrating in public administration and nonprofit management with a minor in business administration. As a student leader, he was involved in different organizations. He was the former senator and marketing assistant of UTC's Student Government Association and has been part of the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislation. In summer semesters, he participates as an orientation leader to facilitate incoming students at the university and helps coordinate student activities. He was awarded as an outstanding Chattanooga State's Student Government Association member, serving as a senator and its communication officer. He has been a consistent dean's lister at UTC and graduated as a Cum Laude.
