- Removed undesirable or diseased trees with hand and power saws.
- Tended and cared for seedlings, clippings and buds with care to produce optimal plant yield.
- Erected signs and fences to control or direct activities of people and animals.
- Took special measures to protect vegetation from insects, diseases and infestations by using targeted chemicals.
- Consulted with landowners to discuss programs, map properties and recommend optimal species for planting.
- Planted different varieties of trees, including Lob Lolly and Long Leaf species, across the state of Georgia.
- Constructed fire breaks and removed brush to support fire prevention and suppression goals.
- Machine planters are often pulled behind a tractor and can include mechanical arms that place seedlings in furrows at a specific spacing. Wheels behind the planter can also pack the seedlings and close the furrow.
- Oversaw other workers by keeping everyone on task.
- Equipment that I am able to operate are: Forklift, Skid Steer, Mini Excavator, Tractor, Mechanical Tree Planter, Truck with an extra long trailer, and pulling equipment to use at the job site.
