Years of Bass fishing experience
I of course am a student first as I currently have a 4.7gpa and 15th in my class currently. I do have a deep passion for fishing and would like to continue fishing while attending college. The past few years I have really started to learn the seasonal patterns from pre-spawn, fishing Rattle traps to being an efficient bed fisherman to catching them on Cane piles, brush piles with deep diving crank baits and fishing the herring spawn. I have developed a knack for fishing the A-rig which may or not be allowed in some tournaments. I have planned on higher education at Lander and would like to be able to fish with the team during my time there.
This coming season I will be fishing the Bassmasters High School opens exclusively to focus on a bid to Nationals. I will also be fishing the SC BASS Nation trail when not fishing the Opens but vacation for my Father will be soley dedicated to the opens.
Years of Bass fishing experience
During the 2020/2021 BASS Nation trail I finished in 5th place in overall points having while 150+ boat field.
During the 7 regular season tournaments I had 4 top 10 finishes, 2 top 20 finishes and placed 22nd in the the first tournament of the year.
Won the 96 High School Classic at the end of the season on Lake Greenwood with 15.96lbs. and a 6.35 Big fish, 2nd place had 9.97lbs.
Finished 13th at the BASS Nations Classic on Lake Keowee 13.57lbs.
Qualified for all tournaments after the regular season, Keowee Classic and the Battle of Carolina on Lake Wateree.
Great year for us as we led the SC BASS Nations trail up until the dropped tournament. Was in a three way tie with 3rd place and total weight was the ultimate tie breaker, a small amount of weight separated each team at the end of the year. This year I was able to really learn how to use my electronics such as side, down imaging and the use of Garmin Live Scope forward sonar.
2019/2020 PBC Trail Fishing Season/ Ninety Six High School Fishing Team
2015-2019 School years
This was my first year fishing organized tournaments we stayed on the docks more than in the water but I was learning and in 6th grade at the time. I fished a tournament with my Dad that year in early July with the Greenwood Bassmasters, this was my first tournament him and it was quite memorable. We had 27.86lbs that day, I caught 3 on Texas rig in brush piles and Dad culled them all and they were 3-4lbrs.
This tournament really stoked the fire for my love of fishing. We continued fishing school only tournaments because the school had a young team and was unaware of other events such as the PBC Trail. We did qualify in the 7th grade to fish the SCDNR State tournament and finished 3rd on the Middle school side, we brought a trophy home to the school. We also won the points championship our 7th grade yearl. I have won a total of 3 Points championships since I began fishing with the school.
