Léane Le Henaff

I am a third-year chemistry major at UIUC with a strong interest in organic synthesis and biomedical research. Dr. Burke’s approach to chemistry as a modular system fascinates me, and I want to explore AI driven reaction design to improve molecular synthesis. I am also passionate about molecular prosthetics and their role in tissue engineering and medicine. Through the Burke Lab, I hope to gain hands-on lab experience and contribute to research that connects chemistry, AI, and healthcare advancements.

• 1st year project development - Collaborated with a team of students to find the estimate of atmospheric CO2 by mass percentages, analysis of its annual increase related to fossil fuels, exploration of the carbon cycle and impacts of sequestration and underground storage costs of CO2.
• Project development 2nd year - Collaborated with a team of students on the development of the class project for the invention of a ventilation piping system through valve, heat exchanger, for Methane and air, using pressure drop specifications and flow-rate measurement.
