University-Sponsored Clinical Initiative
Adult and Pediatric Neurology Department

Participated in a university-promoted volunteer program focused on providing neurological care to low-income patients who lacked access to treatment. Worked directly in both adult and pediatric neurology sectors, contributing to the evaluation and treatment of patients with various neurological conditions. Activities were carried out under the direct supervision and guidance of university professors, ensuring a high standard of clinical practice and continuous learning.

• Worked with patients suffering from debilitating conditions such as stroke and traumatic injuries.
• Treated a high volume of elderly patients and those recovering from a motor vehicle accident.
• Experienced in working with trauma patients while utilizing a compassionate and supportive approach.
• Understanding when to refer a patient to another health care provider to meet the needs of the patient.
• Well-trained in the development and implementation of treatments and therapeutic exercise programs encompassing the following: muscle re-education, range of motion, massage and water simulation for many types of patients, including the elderly and trauma patients.
• Support and educate my patients in the safe and effective use of pulleys, weights, inclined surfaces and other equipment prescribed. Understanding of their treatment is a significant step towards a fast and full recovery.
• Design and innovate rehabilitation plans for patients, including the development of customized guides for daily activities for home therapy. These may include the use of prescribed equipment or home modifications.
• Extremely knowledgeable in documentation of patients' progress notes and completed discharge summaries, home-therapy treatment plans and other forms for intra-/extra-agency personnel. I take pride in insuring that all documentation is clear, concise, timely, accurate and complete.
