Detail-oriented supervisor who brings knowledge on how to effectively and efficiently manage a team, to put them and the company in the best place to succeed. Highly motivated, and always willing to do what is necessary for the company. Always organized, on time to work, and wanting to set an example as a leader to fellow employees. I believe I am a valuable asset to any company because of my experience in a fast-paced, demanding industry like aerospace. I am eager to learn, expand my skill set, and apply my previous experience to help any company grow.
In my position, I oversaw a crew of 5 to 10 employees running lathes, saws, and homogenization ovens. I dealt with large ingots, extrusion billets, slabs, plate, and mold plate products in a variety of high-performance alloys. I would supervise the daily operations of the Finishing Department in a high-volume aluminum manufacturing facility, ensuring that all billet and slab finishing processes meet strict quality and dimensional tolerances for aerospace and industrial applications. I would lead, train, and mentor a team of employees, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement, while maintaining compliance with AS9100 and ISO standards. I would also coordinate production schedules, manpower, and equipment resources to achieve departmental goals, and ensure on-time delivery to downstream operations and customers. I would make a production schedule and coordinate material flow from after the casting process through the cutting, lathing, and packaging processes. Due to this aerospace market, there were rigorous quality requirements that had to be met while fulfilling the orders. I would coordinate with upper management, production control, and other departments to ensure that orders were done on time. I'd monitor finishing operations—including sawing, grinding, inspection, and packaging—to identify process improvements and minimize waste, or rework. Due to this demanding and fast-paced environment, I feel that my skills and management training can translate to another role and help any company, as well as myself, succeed.
