Work History

Plant Manager

Dallas Plastics
Longview
09.2024 - 06.2025
  • Process Manager: After 2 day shifts, I went to nights, Thursday through Monday, to provide support and resources to both night shifts. I oversaw the operations and gave hands-on assistance where I could as well as training for the Supervisors. I gave detailed nightly reports to the Plant, Production, and Maintenance Managers at the end of my night shift. I increased throughput on several production lines. I worked with Maintenance (night shift personnel) in a few projects for little to no cost except labor. One project reduced the downtime for a die lip cleaning on one line by 63%, took 30 minutes to do and already had the material on hand.
  • Plant Manager: After 7 months I was promoted to Plant Manager. I still performed the duties of Process Manager. I attended a lot of meetings that were necessary for continuous development of the facility. I submitted several raises to key employees to keep them vested. I learned how to read and understand a PNL. I worked closely with the VP of Quality on some long term customer issues and have driven projects for CAPA corrections as well as continuous quality improvement on a few critical lines. I mentored a Team Environment with the office staff, challenging the team to cross train. Continuous safety improvements and up scaling of our workforce was a project being worked on with success. Several improvement opportunities were observed and addressed for better pest control and SQF compliance.
