Responsible for an Amphibious Assault Vehicle, a crew of 3 Marines, and embarked infantry. Performed various duties related to the operation and maintenance of the AAV, to include tactical employment and gunnery using the onboard weapons systems in support of embarked infantry, radio communication, and maneuver of the vehicle. Ensured the accountability, welfare, and training of assigned crew and assisted the section leader in maintaining administrative and logistical requirements for the section of up to 15 Marines. Advised infantry squad leaders concerning the the tactical and technical employment of an AAV in amphibious and mechanized operations.

Ensured the safety and conduct of the boat team, and the safe operation, handling, launch, recovery, and maintenance of the vessel. Tactically employed assigned vessel with gunnery using onboard weapons systems.
Monitored security checkpoints for compliance with applicable security protocols. Conducted regular patrols of key areas to spot and control security concerns. Authenticated boarding passes, identification, and passports to prevent fraudulent travel. Completed extensive training in emergency response protocols related to fire safety and hazardous material handling.
